The mission of Back to Basics is to raise children’s self-esteem, keep kids in school, enable self-sufficiency and invest in our future, all by providing NEW uniforms, sneakers, socks and underwear for children in need.
Back to Basics accomplishes this through two simple programs:
The Back to Basics Uniform Program provides over 10,000 New School Uniforms each year to underprivileged children in over 45 elementary schools in Palm Beach County. “A new uniform gives a child the confidence to go to school and be ready to learn.”
Since 2001, Back to Basics has provided over 120,000 New School Uniforms to underprivileged children. Back to Basics depends on grants and monetary donations from our generous supporters to fund the Uniform Program.
The Back to Basics Angel Program provides New Sneakers, Socks, Underwear and a Toy each year during the holidays for close to 6,000 underprivileged children. “Back to Basics provides the basic necessities. For many, it could be the only gift the child receives”.
Since 1984, Back to Basic has provided over 150,000 gift packages of New Sneakers, Socks, Underwear and a Toy to underprivileged children. Back to Basics depends on the generosity of churches, organizations, businesses and individuals in our community to adopt children each year to provide the New Sneakers, Socks, Underwear and Toy that are promised by the program.
Since the beginning of the program, 100% of the children served have received the gifts promised.
