Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, lead hunger and poverty advocacy, and transform lives through innovative programming and education.
Through a network of more than 400 nonprofit partner agencies and direct service programs, Feeding South Florida rescues 44 million pounds of food per year, ensuring 784,110 individuals throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties have access to nutritious food.
Feeding Palm Beach County is Feeding South Florida’s branch location, dedicated solely to the needs of Palm Beach County. More than a distribution center, Feeding Palm Beach County is a community resource, providing innovative programming and benefits assistance to break the cycle of hunger and poverty. Feeding Palm Beach County goes beyond the band-aid solution of providing food – it also aims to strengthen household stability to move families from a place of dependency to self-sufficiency.
As the largest and most efficient provider of emergency food assistance in each county it serves, Feeding South Florida provides 12 million pounds of food per year to Palm Beach County alone - at just .16 cents per pound – ensuring that 199,460 food insecure individuals have access to nutritious food.
In recognition of its efficiency, transparency, and accountability, Feeding South Florida is proud of its 4-star designation from Charity Navigator, the leading nonprofit resource for donors.
