Junior Achievement of South Florida (JASF) delivers programs in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and all of Broward County that develop workforce skills, teach personal finance concepts, and establish the basic skills of entrepreneurship. This essential education is our core mission. JASF is a leader in providing proven solutions to the financial education crisis and workforce skills gap issues in our community.
Junior Achievement of South Florida was founded in 1959 by the Fort Lauderdale Rotary Club and served 373 students that year through the JA Company Program (aka JA Fellows program). In 1981, JASF expanded into the middle and elementary school classrooms, serving 3,202 K-12 students that first year and growing to an average of 17,000 each year. In 2009, with the opening of the JA World Huizenga Center at Broward College, the largest of 36 JA facilities around the world, JASF further expanded its service to almost 50,000 students per year, with the help of over 6,800 JA-trained volunteers.
